Trade union
A brand refresh drawn from the Lodge's own heritage, and a full website rebuild in WordPress for a union representing thousands of boilermakers across Alberta.

01
What was true before
Lodge 146 represents thousands of boilermakers across Alberta and has done for a long time. The organisation is well established, with a great deal handled in house.
What they wanted was a site as dependable as the trade it represents, carrying forward the heritage they already had rather than replacing it.
02
The decisive choices
We rebuilt the brand out of the Lodge's own history. The colours carry through from the previous site, then everything around them was modernised and tightened into a system the Lodge could hold on to.
The site was designed and built in WordPress, structured around who arrives and what they need in the first ten seconds. A member checking dispatch, an apprentice looking at training, a contractor weighing up the Lodge as a partner.
We built a posting section for the news feed and a separate one for the memorial notices, connected the member portal through to WordPress, and handled the search foundations and the DNS.
03
The system after
The Lodge has a site that carries its weight, with the branding, the structure and the search foundations in place.
Content is set up so the team can keep dispatch notices, news and memorials current on their own, without calling a developer for every change.
one honest conversation, no pitch deck, no pressure.
