Studio Notes
Every site we build moves through the same seven stages, from the first conversation to the months after launch. Here is exactly what happens at each one.
A high performing website is engineered before it is designed. Every project we take on moves through the same seven stages, in the same order, so that nothing important is left to chance and nothing is built twice. Here is what happens at each stage and why it matters.
Before any design, we get clear on revenue goals, the client you want more of, your services in order of importance and where the business is heading. We look at your market and competitors to find the space you can own, and we map how your ideal client decides: what they worry about, what reassures them, what makes them call.
This is the cheapest stage to change your mind in, which is why we spend real time here. Clarity now removes revisions later.
Research becomes a sitemap. Every page gets a job, and every job gets one clear next step. We plan the path from first visit to enquiry, the keywords each page should own, and the headings that will carry them. Conversion and search are built into the structure, not added at the end.
Only once the structure is agreed do we design. Typography, colour, spacing, components and motion are defined as a small system, so every page feels related and your team can add new ones without breaking the look. We share interactive prototypes so you can click through before anything is built.
We build mobile first, in clean native elements your team can edit. Where needed we connect a CMS, forms, booking and your CRM. We compress images, trim scripts and tune for Core Web Vitals, because speed shapes how trustworthy a business feels.
Before launch we test across browsers and devices, submit every form, trigger every automation, check tracking, validate structured data and review accessibility. Launch should add confidence, not risk.
We run a pre launch checklist, configure hosting, SSL, backups and redirects so existing search rankings carry over, and watch the site closely in the first days. Where it helps, launch is paired with an announcement, an email and updated Google Business Profile details.
A website is never finished. We review how visitors behave, test messages and calls to action, publish new pages and keep the platform current. Small structural improvements compound month after month. Most clients keep us on a care or search plan for exactly this reason.
A website is not a design deliverable. It is business infrastructure.
If you are planning a new site, the best first step is a short conversation about stage one. Start a project and we will take it from there.

If a note here names something your brand or website is quietly getting wrong, the scorecard will tell you how much it matters and what to fix first.
bring the question you are stuck on. we will tell you what we would do.
