A professionally built small business website in Edmonton usually costs somewhere between about $2,000 and $15,000, with most service businesses landing in the lower half of that range. Our own websites start from $1,900. Where you land depends on a handful of decisions, and once you know what they are, pricing stops feeling random.

What actually drives the cost of a website?

  • Number of unique page layouts. Ten pages built from three layouts cost far less than ten pages that each need their own design.
  • Who writes the words. Copywriting is often the largest hidden cost. Supplying your own text saves money; having it written for search and conversion saves time and usually wins more work.
  • Content management. A blog, project gallery or service library built on a CMS takes longer to set up, and pays off every time you add something yourself.
  • Integrations. Booking, payments, a CRM, email automation or quoting tools each add setup and testing.
  • Brand readiness. If you do not yet have a logo, colours and type you are proud of, that work comes first. Brand identity with us starts from $2,400.
  • Search foundations. Keyword planning, page structure, structured data and redirects from an old site protect and grow your rankings.

What do you get at each budget?

Around $2,000 to $4,000

A focused site of roughly five to eight pages on a proven structure, your own branding applied carefully, mobile first build, contact form, basic search setup and Google Business Profile alignment. Ideal for a trade or service business that needs to look credible and get calls.

Around $4,000 to $9,000

Custom page design, professionally written copy, a CMS for projects or articles, service pages built to rank for Edmonton searches, analytics you can read and some considered motion. This is where most growing businesses get the best return.

$9,000 and up

Larger sites, ecommerce, multiple locations, bespoke animation, integrations with your CRM and quoting tools, or a full brand and website together. Worth it when the website is a central part of how you sell.

What about ongoing costs?

Plan for hosting and your platform subscription, usually $20 to $60 a month for most small sites, plus your domain. Beyond that, many businesses add a care plan for updates and fixes, or a search retainer for steady growth. Our search retainers start from $750 a month.

The cheapest website is the one you only have to build once.

How do you avoid overpaying?

Decide what the site must do before you ask what it costs. A clear goal, such as more quote requests from homeowners in southwest Edmonton, lets any studio price accurately and stops you paying for features that do not serve it. Ask for pricing in phases, so the essentials launch first and extras follow once the site is earning. And ask who will be able to edit the site afterwards, because a site you cannot update yourself quietly costs more every year.

How do you get an accurate quote?

Share your goal, your rough page list, whether you have branding and copy, and any tools you need connected. With that, a good studio can give you a firm number rather than a range. You can see our starting prices on the services page, or tell us about your project and we will reply with a clear scope and price.

Bring this to your own site

If a note here names something your brand or website is quietly getting wrong, the scorecard will tell you how much it matters and what to fix first.

Reading is easy. Deciding is the work.
